Bella Vista Night at the Phillies Rescheduled for Labor Day
(A note for Bella Vista Night at the Phillies ticketholders from the Phillies' Ticket Office after the June 9th game was postponed due to inclement weather)
Thank you for your support of the Phillies and for purchasing tickets to the Wednesday, June 9 game (game #29) versus the Florida Marlins. As you are aware, this game was postponed due to inclement weather. The Phillies are pleased to announce this game has been rescheduled for Monday, September 6 at 1:05 p.m. as part of a split (day-night) doubleheader.
All tickets for the June 9 game will be honored for entry into the September 6 game beginning at 1:05 p.m. If you wish to attend the rescheduled game, there is no need to exchange your tickets for admission to the rescheduled game.
Fans are encouraged to attend the rescheduled game. However, if you are unable to attend the rescheduled game, you may exchange your tickets for any other home game this season (subject to availability).
Please note: The exchange of tickets from the 6/9/10 game must be done 48 hours prior to the game being played on September 6, 2010. Ticket availability is limited for many remaining games this season, so please use our Ticket Availability Guide as a reference tool.
If you have any questions regarding the postponement, please call the Phillies at 215-463-1000.
Once again, thank you for your support of the Phillies.
Sincerely,
The Phillies Ticket Office
(Postscript from BVTW: We encourage all to attend the rescheduled game to make this our neighborhood outing as originally planned.)
'Bella Vista Night at the Phillies' Sells Out
Bella Vista Town Watch thanks everyone who purchased tickets for the 7th annual Bella Vista Night at the Phillies, its fundraiser originally set this year for June 9th, when the Phillies were to play the Florida Marlins at Citizen's Bank Park.
Due to inclement weather on June 9th, the game was rescheduled to 1:05pm on Sept. 6th as a part of a split doubleheader. BVTW encourages all "Bella Vista Night at the Phillies" ticketholders to attend the rescheduled game.
The event sold 250 tickets by early May and has become both an annual community gathering and an important fundraiser for BVTW.
Spearheaded by BVTW Finance Committee Chair John Smyth, Bella Vista Night at the Phillies this year raised $2,000 via in ticket sales (thanks to the Phillies donating $8 for every $26 ticket sold) and $395 in private donations for BVTW.
BVTW thanks its loyal Bella Vista Night at the Phillies ticket buyers and also its private donors.
We look forward to seeing everybody at Citizen's Bank Park on Sept. 6th!
Bella Vista's 2010 Clean-Ups: Next is June 19th
Mark your calendars! Bella Vista's community cleanup dates are set for 2010. The remaining dates are:June 19 (a Philadelphia More Beautiful Committee cleanup), Aug. 14 (a PMBC cleanup), Nov. 13 and Dec. 11 (two special fall cleanup organized by BVTW and supported by PMBC).
All cleanups are held on a Saturday, 9am to 12noon. Save the dates to participate!
Last year, clean-ups sponsored by PMBC, organized locally by BVTW and carried out by scores of neighborhood volunteers, removed approximately 350 bags of trash and leaves from our streets. Email BVTW Beautification Committee Chair Larry Levin at llevin@bvtw.org for more information in advance of the cleanups and to make sure your participating block is scheduled to have its clean-up trash picked up.
BVTW on Patrol: Newcomers Welcome!
BVTW continues to patrol the neighborhood, observing and reporting any crime activity or issues to police, and welcomes new/old friends to join us on "New Member Night" on Thursday evenings at 9:00 PM, meeting at the South Street Ministation (905 South Street).
